Buffalo New York Weather
On the East Coast of New York, a warning is in place for 60 inches, the biggest snowstorm of the year, and it's on its way. In the past, snow chains and winter tyres were needed for emergencies, but today, with a view to 17 December 2020, most radial tyres are sufficient. On the New York East Coast, the National Weather Service has warned of up to 60 inches, the "biggest snowstorm in years."
More than 10 inches of snow and sleet blanketed New York's Central Park this morning, topping the 4.0-inch mark. Consider that Niagara County is not part of the forecast, but is under observation, and that means it will likely receive anywhere from 1 to several inches of snow, Sosnowski said. This means at least 6 inches or snow is expected over a 12-hour period and up to 8 inches (or more) over a 24-hour period. For those in the forecast area that includes New York City, that means 2 to 4 inches of snowfall, with 8 pounds or less falling in some areas and 10 to 15 pounds in others. The forecast for this area, which includes all of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maryland, means 6 to 10 inches to 12 inches and 4 to 9 pounds of rain and snow within a 24-hour period for those within the forecast area who expect or expect up to 11 to 14 pounds of rain and snow.
