has been a few years in the making but,

now we have arrived…

picture this:

Driving guitar rhythm meets

profound lyrics with Latin Percussion the likes of which you’ve never seen before.

Mark plays “The” drums. Not with two pieces of hickory, but with his bare hands beating and finessing tempo and mood, from subtle to slamming.

You’ve never seen a percussion set-up like his, but you should.

Now, add some acoustic blues influence (with an edge) and embellish it with leads that range from sultry to dirty, sweet to staccato and change it on every song.

You got that so far?

Okay, you’re ready for the vocals.

Harmonies behind any one of two leads take you to a mental vista that could be ballad, rock, blues or electric Folk. Hell, even a little Pop once in a while, and occasional influxes of controlled anger.

It’s passionate alright; “no effect” pours it all out on every single number.

Dean (the founder of "no effect")gives you everything he has when performing, but don’t expect much when he’s on break (except maybe a Guinness and a smoke) because it’s all about the song.

It’s a show.

Not some stick-in-the-mud bar band that stares at the floor or gazes at the mic with closed eyes.

We come to play. We come to touch, feel and taste the music.

And so will you.

We wish we could capture our live sound on CD, and we’re working on it.
