Heather Mere emerged on the music scene in 1996 and has developed a successful solo career with 16 self-produced albums credited to her name, including singles and EP's. Heather has collaborated with numerous talented independent musical artists from around the world and has also worked with various local bands throughout Western New York (WNY). She has earned much respect from the WNY music community for her talent as a singer/songwriter/musician and for her support of the vibrant WNY music scene.
Today, this artist is pioneering new ground for female-fronted metal. Her latest album, Shattered I, was released in June 2004. The first single "Take," from the album, rocketed to #3 on Soundclick.com's alternative metal chart just days after its debut on the chart at #66. The songs "Take" and "Break Me" from the album have maintained the #1 and #2 chart positions, respectively, for most downloaded songs EVERY WEEK since May 2004 on Buffalo's premier music community website, WNYMusic.com.
Heather Mere was voted "Artist of the Month" by New York Metal Scene online for April 2004. She has shared the stage with national recording artists STEMM, Klear, Shenoah, and The Goo Goo Dolls. As 2004 came to a close, Heather Mere earned a nomination from Buffalo's WBNY-FM 91.3 for "Best Solo Artist" and a "Best EP" nomination for Shattered I. "Shattered I establishes Mere as a multi-talented artist." says Night & Day magazine, a leading Western New York music and nightlife publication.
Over the July 4, 2005 weekend, songs from Heather Mere were aired to millions on XSTV-FOX Sports (Xtreme Sports Television) and Comcast Southeast Sports television networks as part of the Panama City X-Treme Fest during the "Wheels of Freestyle" and "Team FMX Motorcycle Freestyle" shows.
The new album Shattered II: A Time For Redemption is being worked on right now. A release date for the album, however, is yet to be announced. Look for more news at http://www.heathermere.com.
