Something different for the kids

I have very fond memories of the Carousel from when I was little. It is a very nice place to take children and fairly inexpensive. I really enjoy taking my son there. It is very well kept and something different for the kids to do on a rainy or snowy day. One thing is call before you go to make sure they are open. I have heard they have off hours during the week.

I highly recommend calling ahead to sign up for a tour, or you may just miss the beauty of Old Fort Niagara and pass it off as boring and unintersting. The Fort can be reached by calling 716 745-7611.
Group rates are available for groups of 12 or more. Admission prices are as follows:
Adults - $8.50
Seniors - $7.50
Children (6 to 12) - $5.00
Children (under 6) - FREE
They also offer discounts for:
AAA/CAA members with valid card
NYS Parks Master Pass coupon
Guests of Old Fort Niagara Association Members
This is a very magical place, steeped in the history of several wars, including the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. It's our very own Gettysburg on Lake Niagara. It's beauty and majesty is awesome and awe-inspiring.
There are many special events throughout the year, including reenactments and special events for Independence Day.

My boys love going here, they always seem to have fun and enjoy themselves.
It's not too expensive for the admission price, so it's an affordable family outing.
Good place to see and hear about the history of Carousels. Lots of Carousel horses on display, lots to look at, and fun for the entire family.
This is something fun to do on a rainy day in Western New York.
